Gift Ideas from Andrea

Andrea Robinson

Give the gift of wine country travel – Well, not exactly, but here are some books that’ll take them there on paper, and serve as an invaluable resource when the recipient gets to planning a wine country trip. The Napa & Sonoma Book by Peg Melnik and Tim Fish is the ultimate insider’s guide to one of the most-visited wine regions on earth. The authors know every nook and cranny because they live in the heart of it all (www.napasonomainsider.com). The best of Italian wine can be hard to pin down because there are so many unfamiliar regions, wineries and grapes. Vino Italiano, by Joseph Bastianich and David Lynch, is my bible when it comes to wrapping my head around Italy’s abundance of wines. The authors are such insiders that they know all the best little places to visit – wineries and restaurants that you’d never hear about except from people who spend a lot of time there (www.italianwinemerchant.com).

The book "Women of the Vine" by Deborah Brenner is a great book for women or men to learn about the women in the wine industry.
