What’s Your Preferred Wine Club?

Editor, Christopher Parr

Today in the above blog post by Andrea Robinson, she shares with us her favorite online wine clubs and discusses new shipping laws. Tell us, what online wine clubs do the readers of the Sub-Zero Wine Blog recommend?

Please post your preferred wine clubs below...

I should add, one of my favorites is the Viansa Winery in Sonoma. As they sell direct to consumers (none of their wines are available in stores), it certainly is a treat to receive a monthly delivery from Viansa. My wife and I discovered Sam and Vicki Sebastiani's winery on an excursion a few years ago. When their wines arrive in the mail, it’s a great reminder of the trip and the picturesque Viansa winery.

My wife and I are called WLE's, "Wine Lohr Enthusiasts." We are members of one of J Lohrs 2 wine clubs. We recommend this winemaker and his wine clubs highly as they are based on quality and education. Wine Club members can look forward to vineyard events such as his Hilltop Cabernet Barbeque in his Cabernet Grape Vineyard or attend his Bastille Day dinner at his winery and take a barrel tasting tour. One fantastic WLE Vineyard Event is a limited member event visting his Montery Vineyard handpicking grapes, hand crushing, measuring sugar content and driving a half million dollar European harvestor down one of his grape rows with Jerry by your side, followed up with a vist to his Paso Robles vineyards to learn more about soil quality, climate and how to locate vineyards.
His wine club is not a high priced boutique bent on selling you a wide array of products and a medium quality wine. J Lohr offers you a widely respected and experienced winemaker with years of experience and a winery that grows, cares for and uses its own grapes!
Lohr Winery now has seven labels he produces for his customers in the US and over 25 other countries. The top Cuve series similar to French blended Chateaux, next his Vineyard series which includes his fabulous Hilltop Cab reminiscent of a Bordeaux and down to his latest creation his Ariel Blanc a de-alcoholized wine which is an 8 time Gold Medal award winning wine top rated against wines with alcohol.

I recommend Women & Wine. Especially their new reading glasse club. They match wines with the books that you're reading - it's very cool.

I am a big fan of a California retailer for wines around the globe: K&L Wine Merchants (www.klwines.com). I am a member of their "Signature Red Collection" wines of the month club - EXCELLENT value!

Anyone order from www.wineexpress.com I live in Little Rock, AR and many wine clubs don't ship here. So, if you have any info on them, please share.
